1999年10月25日，江澤民主席在接受法國(guó)《費(fèi)加羅報(bào)》采訪時(shí)指出：“‘法輪功’是危害社會(huì)和人民的邪教?！?0月28日《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》特約評(píng)論員文章《“法輪功”就是邪教》。江澤民主席的論斷和《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》特約評(píng)論員文章，深刻揭露了李洪志和“法輪功”組織的反動(dòng)本質(zhì)及其危害。義正詞嚴(yán)，反映了全國(guó)人民的心聲。這是揭批“法輪功”組織的斗爭(zhēng)向深入發(fā)展的一個(gè)重要標(biāo)示，是奪取同“法輪功”組織斗爭(zhēng)徹底勝利的又一重大舉措，同時(shí)表達(dá)了中國(guó)政府和人民同“法輪功”邪教組織斗爭(zhēng)到底的決心。
已經(jīng)揭露出的大量事實(shí)充分表明，以李洪志為頭目的“法輪功”組織是一個(gè)地地道道的邪教組織。
同一切邪教組織一樣，李洪志和“法輪功”組織大搞“造神“運(yùn)動(dòng)，教主崇拜，把李洪志這樣一個(gè)小學(xué)生、地道的科盲，吹噓成一個(gè)“大智大覺(jué)”、至高無(wú)上的救世主。李洪志打著氣功的旗號(hào)起家，卻貶斥一切氣功，鼓吹“國(guó)內(nèi)外真正往高層次上傳功”只有李洪志一個(gè)人。他撿取了宗教尤其是佛教的許多名詞術(shù)語(yǔ)，又極力貶斥一切宗教和宗教教主，宣揚(yáng)他的“法輪大法”，是唯一能“度人上天國(guó)的正法”?；浇滩贿^(guò)是“非常小，簡(jiǎn)陋的房子”，他的“法輪大法”是“非常富麗堂皇的大宮殿”。李洪志是比釋迦牟尼、老子、耶穌等這些傳統(tǒng)宗教的教主，高出許多倍的、至高無(wú)上的救世主。他“做了前人沒(méi)有做過(guò)的事”，“給人留下一部上天的梯子——《轉(zhuǎn)法輪》”。李洪志甚至吹噓他給“宇宙眾生、不同層次的神和人”“開(kāi)創(chuàng)了生命環(huán)境”，把自己神化成一個(gè)宇宙的最高主宰。
李洪志胡編了一套唯心主義的、粗俗的邪教理論與科學(xué)、傳統(tǒng)文化和國(guó)家法律相抗衡，爭(zhēng)奪群眾，培植政治勢(shì)力，破壞科教興國(guó)戰(zhàn)略和社會(huì)主義精神文明建設(shè)，妄圖把人們引向迷信愚昧的深淵，聽(tīng)任他的擺布。他把“法輪大法”凌駕于一切科學(xué)文化知識(shí)之上，凌駕于馬克思主義、毛澤東思想和鄧小平理論之上，凌駕于國(guó)家憲法、法律之上，鼓吹“法輪大法”是“世界上一切學(xué)法中最玄奧、超常的科學(xué)”，“從粒子、分子到宇宙，從更小至更大，一切奧秘的洞見(jiàn)，無(wú)所不包，無(wú)所遺漏”?！胺ㄝ喆蠓ā卑压沤裰型庖磺形幕R(shí)都“概括”進(jìn)去了，人們“翻遍世界上所有的書(shū)”，“學(xué)了世界上所有的學(xué)科”，“都學(xué)不到”。
他瘋狂的反對(duì)一切真正的科學(xué)和科學(xué)家，鼓吹“人類現(xiàn)在的科學(xué)實(shí)質(zhì)上是站在一個(gè)錯(cuò)誤的基點(diǎn)上發(fā)展起來(lái)的，對(duì)宇宙、對(duì)人類、對(duì)生命的認(rèn)識(shí)都是錯(cuò)誤的”，他們“修煉的人根本不承認(rèn)現(xiàn)在的科學(xué)”。甚至顛倒黑白，倒打一耙，侮蔑“科學(xué)是邪教”。
他極力宣揚(yáng)“末世論”，鼓吹人類、地球、宇宙即將“面臨毀滅”，盅惑人心，宣揚(yáng)只有李洪志和“法輪大法”能夠拯救人類，免于災(zāi)難。
他宣揚(yáng)“政府無(wú)用論”，“法律無(wú)用論”，妄圖謀取超政府、超法律的權(quán)力，任他為所欲為，胡作非為，以實(shí)現(xiàn)他個(gè)人的野心。他鼓吹“現(xiàn)在社會(huì)問(wèn)題層出不窮，哪個(gè)政府也解決不了”，“法律是機(jī)械地限制人、封閉人，人都像動(dòng)物一樣被管著，誰(shuí)也沒(méi)有出路，誰(shuí)也想不出辦法了”，只有相信李洪志，跟著他修煉“法輪大法”才能解決人類的社會(huì)問(wèn)題。
他編造了許多妖言、騙術(shù)，愚弄毒害修煉者，對(duì)修煉者進(jìn)行精神控制，損害修煉者的身心健康。他宣稱當(dāng)今全世界只有他一個(gè)有“法身”，他的“法身”多得不能用數(shù)字來(lái)計(jì)算，無(wú)處不在，無(wú)時(shí)不在，可以變大變小，連他書(shū)中每個(gè)字、每個(gè)字的偏旁部首都是他的“法身”，修煉者只要一動(dòng)念，他的“法身”就會(huì)知道。他的“法身”可以“保護(hù)修煉者”，“保護(hù)全人類”。
他胡說(shuō)他能給修煉者小腹部裝一個(gè)“法輪”，這個(gè)“法輪”可以“度已度人”。這個(gè)法輪不能用價(jià)值來(lái)衡量，“沒(méi)有緣份的人花多少多少億也買(mǎi)不來(lái)”。
他鼓吹他能給修煉者“開(kāi)天目”，天目開(kāi)了的人“可以透過(guò)我們的空間看到另外的時(shí)空”，“看到常人看不到的景象”，可以“隔墻視物，透視人體”。
他宣揚(yáng)“業(yè)力回報(bào)論”，鼓吹“人生生生世世都在造業(yè)”，生老病死都是“業(yè)力回報(bào)”，都是在“還業(yè)”，有病不能吃藥，吃藥會(huì)把“業(yè)力壓回去”，要真正治好病就必須“修煉”。他要人們舍棄七情六欲，舍棄一切追求，舍棄各種“執(zhí)著心”。
他曲解佛教的“不二法門(mén)”，鼓吹修煉“法輪大法”要專一，不能學(xué)別的知識(shí)，不能練其他門(mén)派的功法，不能信仰別的宗教，有信仰的人也要放棄原有的信仰。
李洪志用這一套邪說(shuō)、謊言、騙術(shù)毒害練習(xí)者的心靈，給他們“洗腦”，使他們是非真?zhèn)尾晦q，一切聽(tīng)命于他。這一套不僅破壞科教興國(guó)戰(zhàn)略的實(shí)施，破壞社會(huì)主義精神文明建設(shè)，而且釀成了十分嚴(yán)重的社會(huì)后果，造成了一幕幕家庭悲劇。1400多人因練“法輪功”致死，許多人被折磨得精神失常，家破人亡，妻離子散。而李洪志及其骨干們卻從練習(xí)者身上、從國(guó)家聚斂了巨額財(cái)富，過(guò)起了花天酒地的生活。
李洪志違反國(guó)家法律規(guī)定，非法秘密結(jié)社，建立了一個(gè)自上而下、組織嚴(yán)密、活動(dòng)詭秘的“法輪功”組織體系，成為與黨、國(guó)家和人民相對(duì)抗的社會(huì)政治勢(shì)力。
李洪志把批評(píng)他和“法輪大法”的人統(tǒng)統(tǒng)誣蔑為“魔”，煽動(dòng)練習(xí)者“護(hù)法”。法律約束不了他們，政府管不了他們，群眾批評(píng)不得他們。在李洪志和“法輪大法研究會(huì)”的煽動(dòng)、策劃、組織下，多年來(lái)他們無(wú)視憲法、法律的規(guī)定，無(wú)視公民的基本權(quán)利、無(wú)視政府的管理，進(jìn)行了大量非法違法活動(dòng)，為所欲為，危害社會(huì)。他們制造的“4·25”上萬(wàn)名“法輪功”練習(xí)者圍攻中南海事件，就是他們瘋狂反人民、反社會(huì)、反政府的一次大暴露。
大量事實(shí)表明，以李洪志為頭目的“法輪功”組織是一個(gè)歪曲、利用氣功、宗教、科學(xué)的某些名詞術(shù)語(yǔ)，神化李洪志，宣揚(yáng)唯心主義和粗俗的有神論，愚弄、毒害群眾，從事非法違法活動(dòng)，給國(guó)家、社會(huì)和人民群眾造成嚴(yán)重危害的邪教組織。李洪志及其死心踏地的骨干們是一伙反科學(xué)、反人類、反社會(huì)、反政府的邪惡勢(shì)力?！胺ㄝ喒Α迸c國(guó)外的邪教組織相比有過(guò)之而無(wú)不及。
“法輪功”是邪教，而不是宗教，宗教信仰自由的原則和政策不適用于“法輪功”。宗教信仰自由政策是我們國(guó)家一項(xiàng)長(zhǎng)期的基本政策，將堅(jiān)定不移地貫徹執(zhí)行。對(duì)于像“法輪功”這樣的邪教組織必須依法堅(jiān)決予以打擊。早在1982年3月，中共中央下發(fā)的《關(guān)于我國(guó)社會(huì)主義時(shí)期宗教問(wèn)題的基本觀點(diǎn)和基本政策》中就明確指出：“堅(jiān)決保障一切正常的宗教活動(dòng)，同時(shí)就意味著要堅(jiān)決打擊一切在宗教外衣掩蓋下的違法犯罪活動(dòng)和反革命破壞活動(dòng)，以及各種不屬于宗教范圍的、危害國(guó)家利益和人民群眾生命財(cái)產(chǎn)的迷信活動(dòng)。”“法輪功”組織正是這種要堅(jiān)決打擊的組織。我國(guó)刑法也規(guī)定了懲治邪教組織的條款。我們要依法對(duì)“法輪功”邪教組織進(jìn)行堅(jiān)決打擊，決不能養(yǎng)癰遺患。
李洪志是“法輪功”邪教的魔首，是觸犯中國(guó)法律的犯罪分子，中國(guó)政府已經(jīng)發(fā)出通緝令。各國(guó)人民都對(duì)邪教深惡痛絕，各國(guó)政府也都對(duì)邪教嚴(yán)懲不貸。我們嚴(yán)正呼吁有關(guān)國(guó)家真正站到維護(hù)人權(quán)的立場(chǎng)上來(lái)。美國(guó)政府中最近有人竟然對(duì)中國(guó)政府依法取締和打擊“法輪功”邪教說(shuō)三道四，干涉中國(guó)內(nèi)政，是極不明智的。如果真像美國(guó)所一貫標(biāo)榜的那樣要維護(hù)世界人權(quán)，豈能與邪教為伍，為邪教張目？豈能讓李洪志這樣一個(gè)殘害群眾，踐踏人權(quán)、危害社會(huì)、罪行累累的邪教魔首繼續(xù)禍害人類？中國(guó)有句俗語(yǔ)“物以類聚，人以群分”。我們相信，一切講道理、有理智的國(guó)家，一切有正義感的善良的人們，都不會(huì)與李洪志及其“法輪功”邪教同流合污。

Falun Gong is nothing but a cult
-- Speech at the Meeting of Central Government Agencies Denouncing Falun Gong
President Jiang Zemin pointed out when interviewed by Le Figaro of France on October 25, 1999, "Falun Gong is a cult that endangers the society and the people." Further, the People's Daily published a criticism written by its special commentator titled Falun Gong is Nothing but a Cult. The judgment by President Jiang Zemin and the People's Daily criticism by its special commentator profoundly uncovered the reactionary essence and harmfulness of Falun Gong. They speak with the force of justice and voice the aspirations of Chinese people, which marks that the struggle of denouncing Falun Gong has moved further and is a new step toward the thorough victory in the fight against Falun Gong while expressing the determination of the Chinese Government and people to contend with this cult.
A great many of uncovered facts indicate that the Falun Gong organization headed by Li Hongzhi is nothing but a cult.
Like all the other cults, through unscrupulous trickeries, Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong organization bragged a man with only primary education knowing little about science like Li Hongzhi as a supreme savior with "supreme wisdom". Although he built up his fortune under the signboard of it, he denoted all kinds of qigong and boasted his "Falun Dafa" was the only "true law that ferries people to the heaven". Christianity was just "a very small and shabby room", while his "Falun Dafa" was "a magnificent palace" and that he was the highest hierarch and a savior much wiser than Sakyamuni, Jesus Christ, Laozi and other founders of religions. He said that he was doing something nobody had done before and he had "given people a ladder to the heaven – 'Zhuan Falun'". He also puffed that he had "created a living environment for the whole universe including all the spirits and human-beings at various levels", apotheosizing himself as the supreme dominator in the universe.
Li Hongzhi has fabricated a vulgar idealist theory to confront the science, traditional culture and national laws so as to scramble for the masses, develop their political forces, sabotage the strategy of invigorating the country through science, technology and education and the social spiritual civilization construction, with the attempt to lead the masses to a superstitious fatuous abyss under his control. He attempted in vain to override all the scientific and cultural knowledge, Marxism, Mao Zedong's Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory as well as the Constitution and the laws. He also boasted that Falun Dafa was "the most wondrous and highest science in the world" and that it could be as small as a particle or molecule, or as large as the universe including everything and embodying the thorough understanding of all mysteries." He further said that Falun Fafa "had gathered up" all the literacy at all times and in all the countries that "you could learn from nowhere else in the world, even if you had learnt all the subjects and read all the books in the world".
He was madly opposed to all the true science and scientists, saying that "humankind's modern science has in fact developed on a wrong foundation, with a wrong understanding of the universe, humankind and life" and that the cultivators didn't "agree with today's science at all". He even called white black and made a false countercharge as saying that "science is a cult".
He preached "the doomsday theory" to the utmost of his abilities, saying that the human society, the earth and the universe were to be destroyed and that only he and his Falun Dafa could save the humankind from disaster so as to mislead the masses.
He advocated anarchism and spurned all laws, trying to figure for powers overriding the government and laws so that he could do what ever he liked wildly to realize his own evil ambitions. He puffed that "nowadays social problems emerge in an endless stream which no government can resolve… The laws restrict and block people mechanically and everybody is restrained like an animal and nobody has a way out". According to Li Hongzhi, the social problems would only be resolved when people believe in him and cultivate his Falun Dafa.
He created heresies and trickeries to poison the cultivators, manipulate their minds and harm their body and mental health. He claimed that he was the only one in the world to have "dharma bodies" and his numerous "dharma bodies" were ubiquitous. They could be enlarged and narrowed down. According to him, every word of his book was his dharma body. The moment when the cultivators have their thought, his dharma bodies would know it. Those dharma bodies could "protect the cultivators…protect the whole mankind."
He said he could equip the disciples with a "Falun" in their lower abdomen, which could ferry themselves and others. This Falun was too precious to be measured by value. "If you are not destined to have it, no matter how much efforts you make, you still cannot get it."
Li Hongzhi boasted that he could "open the Third Eye" for the cultivators. People with a Third Eye "can penetrate our dimension to see other space-times, and they can see scenes that ordinary people can't… they might be able to see through walls to look at things, or see inside the human body."
He preached "karmic retribution" principle，saying that "people are practicing to increase their karmic forces all their life" and that birth, age, illness and death were forms of karmic retribution and means of "paying karma". According to him, if you are ill, you can't take medicine, otherwise "karma forces" will be suppressed. You have to "cultivate" to cure your illness. He told people to wear down all their affections, pursuance and all kinds of "attachment".
He distorted the Buddhist`s "dharma gate of non-duality", saying that Falun Dafa cultivators should be devoted and they should neither practice other sects nor believe in other religions. He also said that those who had other faith should give it up.
Li Hongzhi poisoned and brainwashed the "Falun Gong" practitioners with his fallacies, lies and trickeries so that they could not tell the right from the wrong and the true from the false and completely obey him. All of these not only have undermined the implementation of the strategy of invigorating the country through science, technology and education and the social spiritual civilization construction, but also have had very serious social impacts and created a number of family tragedies. More than 1,400 people died due to practicing Falun Gong and a lot of other people suffered from mentally disorder, with their families broken up, although Li Hongzhi and other core members had amassed a large fortune from the practitioners and led a life of debauchery.
Li Hongzhi illegally established an underground organization and set up a top-down rigorous secret system as a social and political force that confronted the Party, the country and the people.
Li Hongzhi stigmatized all those who criticized him and his Falun Dafa as "demons" and instigated practitioners to "protect Fa" as if they were neither restricted by the law, regulated by the government nor criticized by the masses. For many years, these people, instigated, plotted and organized by Li Hongzhi and the Research Society of Falun Dafa, have carried out a great many of illegal activities at their will to jeopardize the society in defiance of the provisions in the Constitution and other laws, the basic rights of citizens and the governmental regulation. The incident on April 25 created by them besieging Zhongnanhai, the central government compound, was an exposure of their anti-people, anti-society and anti-government features.
A lot of facts have proved that the Falun Gong organization headed by Li Hongzhi is a heretical cult that distorts and makes use of certain words and terms in qigong, religions and science to apotheosize Li Hongzhi, preach idealism and vulgar theism, make fool of and poison the masses and carry out illegal activities, thus jeopardizing the country, society and the people greatly. Li Hongzhi and the core members were a wicked force that is anti-science, anti-people, anti-society and anti-government. The overseas cult organizations are no more miscreant than it.
Falun Gong is a cult instead of a religion, so the principle and policy of the freedom of religious belief don't apply to it. The policy of the freedom of religious belief is a long-term basic policy of our country and will be implemented firmly. Cults as Falun Gong must be fought against stoutly. Early in March 1982, the Central Committee of the CPC had pointed out clearly in its The Basic Point of Views and the Basic Policy on Religious Problems during the Socialist Period in Our Country, "…firmly safeguard all kinds of normal religious activities; on the other side, firmly fight against all the illegal and criminal activities and anti-revolutionary activities in the guise of religion, along with all kinds of superstitious activities that are not religious and jeopardize the interests of the nation and the life and property of the masses. " Falun Gong is no other than such an organization to be cracked down. The Chinese Criminal Law also provides an article about the punishment of cult organizations. We must fight Falun Gong decisively according to law and must not leave evil unchecked spells ruin.
Li Hongzhi is the ringleader of Falun Gong and a criminal that has violated Chinese law. The Chinese Government has issued an arrest warrant for him. People from all the countries extremely hate cults and all the governments punish severely those who have been involved in cult activities. We strongly appeal the related countries to stand really on the position of defending human rights. It's not wise for some people in the US Administration recently to make irresponsible remarks about the practice of the Chinese Government and interfere with Chinese internal affairs. How could the US associate with and build up a cult if it really wants to safeguard human rights in the world as it has boosted? How could it let a ringleader with cumulation of crimes as Li Hongzhi continue to harm and kill people cruelly, tramp on human rights and jeopardize society? As the saying puts it, "birds of a feather flock together," we believe that all the rational and wise countries and all the kind and righteous people won't wallow in the mire with Li Hongzhi and his cult Falun Gong.
